If cleared at the age of 29, does the value of a chartered accountant decrease?
I cleared my ipcc in second attempt and final in sixth attempt, so I was a freshly qualified ca at the age of 24 years. Today after 3 years of experience no one asks me for my no. of attempts. Similarly, in the ca firm in which I did my articleship, there were many students who lately cleared their ca and were at good post.
In conclusion, age and no of attempts are not the deciding factor for a chartered accountant, but knowledge is.
I have seen first attempt chartered accountants working for Rs. 25k to 30k and I have also seen multiple attempts chartered accountants working for a six digits salary per month. Thus level of knowledge and expertise affect the value of a chartered accountant.
