What is the salary of a chartered accountant?

What is the salary of a chartered accountant?

Getting a CA Final Rank takes you 5 years ahead in life. Like literally.

The average pay for a non-ranker is 6–9 lakhs.

A CA Final ranker FRESHER will at least on a minimum on a conservative basis secure a job of 15–18 lakhs and goes up to 27–28 lakhs with the marquee FMCG Companies.

The big-ticket companies like P&G, Mondelez, HUL, RB, BCG, McKinsey, Baines takes only CA RANKERS.

So I would highly recommend all aspiring CA Students to redeem themselves and prove your abilities to the world by getting a rank at any cost in Final CA.

So from a job perspective, the salary on your first job depends on -

  1. Attempts and rank -The bitter truth is attempts do matter in your first job. 14000 people becoming CA in an attempt company need criteria for filtering people. I completely agree that attempts are not a measure of your Calibre but that's how the system is.
  2. Big 4 articleship - A big4 articleship gives the confidence to the recruiter that the candidate can multitask, work in corporate culture, sit for late hours, has decent communication skills and can handle stress/pressure.
  3. Communication skills Key to cracking interviews and GDs. This is one thing we as a fresher must actively work on.
  4. Complete knowledge of your articleship areas In your interview you will be grilled on your articleship experience. The best way is to revisit the working papers and the key points (fraud etc.) which you found in your audits, any suggestions which added value to the client to impress the interviewer
  5. Behavioral HR questions This is the most underprepared part of an interview. Prepare questions like - tell me something about yourself, Instances about failure, conflict, leadership, how you handled stress, pressure, Why should I hire you, tell me a time when you added value to the client. Impressing the interviewer with some insightful answers will stand you in good stead.
